COMPARE:
Salesmsg or SimpleTexting for business texting
Salesmsg against SimpleTexting for texting customers and prospects from a business number, with the same seven questions asked of each and neither one flattered. Mamba Labs builds Apify actors, and neither of these is one of them, so there is no third column on this page.
If you only read one part
Salesmsg is texting for a sales team that lives in HubSpot or Salesforce. SimpleTexting is texting for a marketing team that sends campaigns to a list. Which team is buying decides it.
The same questions, both tools
| Salesmsg | SimpleTexting | |
|---|---|---|
| What it actually does | Two way SMS and calling from a shared inbox, logged against the CRM record, with AI agents that answer and book. | Sends SMS campaigns to a list, runs keywords and autoresponders, and holds two way conversations in a shared inbox. |
| Coverage and hit rate | Local and toll free numbers, shared inboxes, automations, calling and an AI agent, with deep HubSpot and Salesforce sync. | Campaigns, keywords, scheduled messages, MMS, a shared inbox and an API, across the US and Canada. |
| What it costs | Per user per month plus a message allowance, with the AI agent and extra numbers priced on top. | Per month by message volume, with extra users and numbers as add ons, and no seat minimum to start. |
| How it fits a workflow | A rep texts from the contact record in the CRM and the conversation is logged there with no copy paste step. | Import a list, write the message, send. It reaches the CRM through Zapier rather than natively. |
| Where the data comes from | Your own contacts and your own numbers. It sends nothing to anyone you did not add. | Your own contacts, collected through its keywords and web forms or imported. |
| What it takes to set up | A day, most of it carrier registration for the sending numbers, which every US texting tool has to go through. | An afternoon, plus the same carrier registration wait every US texting tool has. |
| Where it stops | The CRM integration is the product. Without HubSpot or Salesforce you are paying for a connection you do not use. | It is built for marketing blasts and support texting. A sales rep working deals from a CRM record will feel the gap. |
The same seven questions are asked on every compare page here, in this order, so two of these pages can be read against each other.
What each is actually better at
- Salesmsg wins on what it actually does, coverage and hit rate, how it fits a workflow. Business texting and calling that lives inside HubSpot and Salesforce.
- SimpleTexting wins on what it costs, what it takes to set up. A plain SMS marketing and two way texting tool, priced on message volume.
- Nobody wins on where the data comes from, where it stops. Salesmsg and SimpleTexting give the same answer on those, and we are not going to invent a difference.

The honest answer
If the texts are conversations attached to deals, and the reps work in the CRM, Salesmsg puts the whole thing on the contact record. That is the feature you are paying for. If the texts are campaigns to a few thousand people with keywords and autoresponders, SimpleTexting is cheaper and simpler. The CRM sync through Zapier is enough there. Both wait on the same carrier registration before a US number can send, so budget a week either way.
