COMPARE:
Kixie or CallHippo for a team that dials all day
Kixie and CallHippo both do getting through a call list without leaving the CRM, and this page puts them on the same seven questions. Mamba Labs builds Apify actors, and neither of these is one of them, so there is no third column on this page.
The verdict
Kixie is a dialer that lives inside your CRM. CallHippo is a phone system that integrates with it. If the job is volume dialing, that difference is most of the answer.
Dimension by dimension
| Kixie | CallHippo | |
|---|---|---|
| What it actually does | Dials lists at speed from inside the CRM, with local presence, voicemail drop and SMS in the same flow. | Gives a team local phone numbers, a dialer and call recording, with the CRM logging attached. |
| Coverage and hit rate | Multi line dialing, local presence numbers, automatic SMS follow up and connection rate reporting. | Numbers in a long list of countries, a power dialer, call recording and transcription. |
| What it costs | Per user per month for the seat, with a higher tier for the multi line dialer, plus usage. | Per user per month for the seat, with each number and its minutes billed separately. |
| How it fits a workflow | It lives inside the CRM rather than beside it, so the dial and the disposition are one action. | Native integrations into the common CRMs log the call and the recording onto the record. |
| Where the data comes from | Your own lists. It dials what you give it. | Your own calls. It provides the line, not the list. |
| What it takes to set up | A day for the dialer, and a real project for local presence numbers if you want many of them. | A day or two, and longer where a country wants documents before it will issue a local number. |
| Where it stops | It is a dialer, not a phone system. A support team that answers inbound is not the buyer. | Call quality is carrier dependent and the reviews on it are mixed in a way the marketing is not. |
The same seven questions are asked on every compare page here, in this order, so two of these pages can be read against each other.
Who wins what
- Kixie wins on what it actually does, how it fits a workflow. A power dialer built to sit on top of a CRM and make a rep dial more.
- CallHippo wins on coverage and hit rate, what it costs. A cloud phone system aimed at a sales team that needs numbers in many countries.
- Nobody wins on where the data comes from, what it takes to set up, where it stops. Kixie and CallHippo give the same answer on those, and we are not going to invent a difference.
Where to get them
The honest answer
Kixie costs more and it is the right call for a team whose day is a call list. Multi line dialing and local presence change connect rates in a way a cheaper seat does not. Two warnings. Local presence numbers are being squeezed hard by carrier spam labelling, so budget for rotating them and do not treat the connect rate you see in month one as permanent. And a CRM integration this deep is a lock in: moving off Kixie later means rebuilding the disposition workflow. If dialing is a part of the week rather than the whole of it, CallHippo does the job and leaves the money for something else.
