USE CASE:

US based creators: the honest take on audience vetting

The job on this page is audience vetting for US based creators, with the options first, ours included, and the recommendation at the end. We are Mamba Labs, we build Apify actors, and Creator Profile Reader is the one that does this for US based creators.

Where this starts

Audience vetting for US based creators turns into a judgment call nobody wanted. US based creators carry the highest rates of any market and the strictest disclosure enforcement, and audience vetting has to work around it. What catches people out on US based creators, audience vetting included: a creator based in the US can have an audience that mostly is not, so location filters the wrong thing. If you would rather try it than read about it, Creator Profile Reader does audience vetting for US based creators today.

Traditional Search Tools

  • The FTC endorsement guides, for US based creators. Free, and the disclosure rules apply to the brand as well as the creator.
  • HypeAuditor. Audience quality scores and fake follower estimates per account, with demographic splits. The most cited tool for this check, priced per report or per month.
  • Social Blade. Free history of follower and view counts on the main platforms. It shows a suspicious jump clearly and says nothing about who the audience is.
  • Asking for native analytics. A screenshot of the creator's own dashboard is the only source of real demographic data. Ask for it every time, and expect a few to decline.
  • Read the last twelve posts. Open the profile, note views, likes and comments on the last twelve posts, and divide by the follower count. Ten minutes per creator, and it catches most bought audiences.

The method

  1. Start with one of US based creators you already know, so a wrong audience vetting answer is obvious rather than plausible.
  2. Run Creator Profile Reader across your list of US based creators, which carries 1 ready made setup for audience vetting.
  3. Read ten rows of audience vetting on US based creators by hand before you trust the rest of the list.
