USE CASE:
Finding a business phone number and postal address
This page is about finding a business phone number and postal address: what your options are for contact details, what each costs, and the one we would use. We are Mamba Labs, we build Apify actors, and Company Contact Details Extractor is ours for contact details.
The problem
Contact details sound like the easiest thing on any list and they are among the least reliable. Companies bury the phone number, publish a head office for a business run from three countries, and route everything through a form. For anyone with a compliance requirement, or anyone who still picks up a phone, the field has to be right rather than present.
Traditional Search Tools
- Google Business Profiles. Free, verified by the company, and strongest for businesses with a physical location. Sparse for software companies.
- The statutory register. Companies House and its equivalents publish the registered office. Authoritative, and the registered office is often an accountant's address rather than anywhere anyone works.
- A local directory. Chambers of commerce and trade directories still carry details nothing else does, particularly outside the English speaking market.
- Read the contact page and the footer. Almost every company publishes this somewhere, and in most of Europe it is a legal requirement. Two minutes per company and you can see whether the address is real.
