What is actually going wrong
Sponsorship scouting for business and marketing creators the answer is public, scattered, and nobody has time to collect it. Any sponsorship scouting method has to survive this: business and marketing creators speak to buyers inside companies, so a small audience can carry a large deal size. One thing sponsorship scouting on business and marketing creators rarely accounts for: follower counts here undersell influence, because the audience is senior and small by nature. If you would rather try it than read about it, Creator Finder does sponsorship scouting for business and marketing creators today.
Traditional Search Tools
- LinkedIn, for business and marketing creators. Where most of this niche publishes first, and the follower count there means more than elsewhere.
- Modash. A large searchable creator database across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube with audience filters. Strong discovery, sold on a monthly subscription that suits a team running campaigns every month.
- TikTok One and the other platform marketplaces. Official, free to browse, and limited to creators who opted in. The ones who did not sign up are invisible there.
- An influencer agency. They bring a roster and the relationships, and charge a retainer or a share of the fee. Worth it for a launch, expensive as a standing way to find people.
- Search the platforms yourself. Type the niche into TikTok, Instagram and YouTube search, open every profile that looks right, and copy the handle and follower count into a sheet. About three minutes a creator, and the results depend on what each app decides to show you.
