USE CASE:
Finding a working mobile number for a business contact
Everything below is about finding a working mobile number for a business contact, and about which mobile numbers method holds up on a list rather than one record. Mamba Labs writes Apify actors for this kind of work, and Mobile Phone Waterfall is the one aimed at mobile numbers.

Where this starts
Cold calling still works when you reach a person, and direct dials to the office rarely do. Mobile numbers are the scarce field in every data vendor. Each provider covers a different slice, charges a credit per hit, and some numbers come back on a do not call list. Paying four providers for the same person is how the budget goes.
Traditional Search Tools
- Lusha, ContactOut or Cognism on their own. Each has real mobile coverage in its home market. Each also misses, and you learn which one covers your list only after paying.
- FullEnrich and similar waterfalls. They chain providers for you and bill a markup on top. Good if you have no provider keys of your own.
- Apollo. Mobile numbers come bundled into a seat, with a monthly cap. Coverage outside North America is thin.
- Ask for it. Email first and put a calendar link in the signature, then ask for the best number in the reply. Slow and polite. It only works on people who already answered.
