COMPARE:

Prospeo or Findymail for finding work emails

A straight comparison of Prospeo and Findymail for finding a work email that does not bounce, answered on the same seven dimensions as every other compare page here. Mamba Labs builds Apify actors. Email Waterfall Orchestrator is ours, it is the third column, and it does not win most of these rows.

The short answer

Prospeo is cheaper per find and better when you already have the LinkedIn URL. Findymail returns fewer addresses and bounces less, because it drops the ones it cannot verify instead of handing them to you.

The same questions, both tools

ProspeoFindymailEmail Waterfall Orchestrator
What it actually doesTurns a LinkedIn profile URL, or a name plus a domain, into a work email address and verifies it.Finds a work email from a name and a domain, and refuses to return one it cannot verify.Calls a chain of email finders in the order you set and returns the first address that verifies.
Coverage and hit rateStrong on profiles with a public LinkedIn presence. Weaker where the only input is a name and a small company domain.Lower raw hit rate than the loosest finders, on purpose, because it drops the guesses the others return. As wide as the providers you put in it, because it is the chain rather than one provider.
What it costsCredits, one per successful find, with unused credits rolling into the next month on the paid plans.Credits, charged on a returned email, with the verification included rather than billed again.A couple of cents per row on top of whatever your own provider keys cost.
How it fits a workflowAn API, a Chrome extension and a bulk upload. Clay and Make both call it directly. An API plus native steps in Clay, Lemlist and Instantly, and a list upload for one off work. One call per row from Clay or from a script, with the provider that answered named in the output.
Where the data comes fromIts own crawl plus contributed data, resolved against the profile you pass in.Its own sources with a verification pass in front of the answer.Whichever provider answered, and it tells you which one did.
What it takes to set upSign up, take the key, paste it into whatever is calling it. Under ten minutes.Sign up and take the key. The integrations are already built, so there is nothing to wire.Bring your own keys, set the order, run it. The keys are the work.
Where it stopsIt answers about one person at a time. It will not build the list of people for you.It is an email finder. Phone numbers and firmographics are not what it does.It buys nothing for you. With no provider keys it has nothing to call.

The same seven questions are asked on every compare page here, in this order, so two of these pages can be read against each other.

Where each one genuinely wins

  • Prospeo wins on what it costs, what it takes to set up. An email finder that works from a LinkedIn URL or a name and domain.
  • Findymail wins on coverage and hit rate, where the data comes from. An email finder built around not bouncing, with verification folded in.
  • Email Waterfall Orchestrator wins on how it fits a workflow. Runs several finders in order on your own keys, and stops at the first verified answer.
  • Nobody wins on what it actually does, where it stops. Prospeo and Findymail give the same answer on those, and we are not going to invent a difference.

The honest answer

Pick on what you are optimizing. If your input is a list of LinkedIn URLs and your sender tolerates a little bounce, Prospeo costs less per usable address. If your domains are new and a bounce rate above two percent would hurt, Findymail is the safer of the two. The verification you would otherwise buy separately is already in its price. Running one finder alone is the real mistake here. Any single provider misses a quarter of a normal list, so the honest answer for a list of any size is a waterfall across several of them.
